Screen Printing

What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing is a versatile printing technique used to transfer designs onto various surfaces, such as fabrics, paper, glass, metal, and plastic. It involves the use of a mesh screen, a stencil (or template), and ink to create vibrant and long-lasting prints.

How Does It Work?

  • Preparation of the Screen: A mesh screen is coated with a light-sensitive emulsion, and the desired design is transferred onto it using UV light.
  • Stencil Creation: The areas not part of the design are blocked out, leaving open spaces for the ink to pass through.
  • Printing Process: Ink is applied to the screen and pushed through the open areas using a squeegee, transferring the design onto the surface below.
  • Curing: The printed item is heated to set the ink, ensuring durability.
